Only semi-related but this got me interested in browser-based splat renderers, I poked around online and this is the best demo I found - very cool!

For me this one is (was, apparently it's not working anymore) one of the best ones. I would really like to work on splat rendering during the PhD i'm hoping to pursue

I believe they are using the open source PlayCanvas splat integration.

To display the closeups I'm using super splat in the browser and in the training tool I'm using my own hand written renderer. Mostly so it's easier to swap out splats during training
