I did't flag it. Anyway, the whole area is full of scammers and fake promises, so I just ignore it all of them.

> I claimed we provide guaranteed weight loss or gain results within 2–3 weeks without GLPs

What is the guaranty? Do you give the money back? It makes the post even more suspicious. Try to avoid infomercial tone here or it will make people even more suspictious.

You also can claim whatever you like. Do you have any proof? Reviews and testimonials are not reliable. I assume in general that all of them are fake, in spite your may be real or not.

> Why are so many people on Hacker News hellbent on boosting GLPs as a cure for all weight loss?

There is a lot of evidence that GLP work published in well known sources. See https://www.who.int/news/item/01-12-2025-who-issues-global-g... Where is yours?

(In the last month or so, there are a lot of new reports where GLP also cure other diseases. I'm very suspicious about them.)

Also, I'm not sure what is the difference with other apps. What does it do? It's like a calorie counter but it interpolates the calories when the user forgets to enter them?

> My last post got flagged where I claimed ...

From a different perspective, your last post, where you were promoting your own application, got flagged.

Yes, this is a fairly normal thing. In fact, if you had read the guidelines, you would have noticed that self-promotion is generally frowned upon in HN. It is not what the site is for.

Now, submitting again to protest that you were flagged and then just promoting the app a bit more, sounds like another thing that people will not like. So you'll probably get flagged again.

I submitted "Show HN" post which got flagged, provided description and linked to the app which is completely free.

I see many people doing same on Show HN posts?

And you had already done that a few months ago.

There is no guideline that says you cannot post your project, which received significant upgrades/work, after a few months.

I'm just telling you. You do things people don't like and people respond by flagging your posts.

Nobody else has achieved guaranteed results in 2–3 weeks for both weight loss and weight gain without any drugs but we guarantee it to every user. 80% people will see results on the very first week

We've neural network which predicts maintenance calories to very high accuracy, this has never been done before at this level with thousands of users and so much success!

We have enough validation: thousands of users. The app is completely free and not even new; no ads or personal identifying information are collected.

What is not to like about this?

We are being flagged because GLP boosters on this site do not like that it is possible to lose weight with very little effort without GLPs.

Whatever.

I didn't say a single thing about your application. I do not care one way or the other. I'm just telling you people don't appreciate insistent self-promotion. You do what you want, but you cannot force people to like it.

My previous post had 28 upvotes; the last post received 3 upvotes and then got flagged.

It’s not that people don’t like it, but that GLP boosters are flagging it.

Nobody managed to prove that we are wrong or that our method is flawed.

To my knowledge, nobody else ever managed to do this; there were always excuses like "genetics or hunger," but anyone who used it got the results, and it's baffling to see GLP boosters have been proven wrong, yet they are not really debating or challenging, but rather flagging the post like a coward. No contest?

We managed to produce results in "genetically resistant fat" people within a 2–3-week timeframe!

Rather than getting acknowledged that this is possible, we are getting flagged by GLP boosters who want the whole world to be on GLPs.

Because it’s a hormone imbalance glp-1s solve for around the brain’s demand and reward center. Would you tell someone with a mental health illness to not take their lithium?

Your app isn’t going to fix brain chemistry and a hormone imbalance. It’s snake oil. Are you a medical professional? Show the creds.

It's strange, so all the people who are overweight by 5-10kg have hormone imbalance?

>Your app isn’t going to fix brain chemistry and a hormone imbalance. It’s snake oil. Are you a medical professional? Show the creds.

Read the reviews. If 17,000+ users and all these reviews, guides, and posts on Reddit are not “enough creds,” then what is?

I have been a coach for over 10 years.

Creator of fitness guides shared across Reddit, like this one on a GLP-1 subreddit https://www.reddit.com/r/tirzepatidecompound/comments/1omfgx...

A coach is not a medical professional. Reviews are not medical credentials. Please grift in a less sensitive to harm domain than medical advice. You are not qualified to provide it, based on what your profile has shared to date here. You will incur harm continuing to do so.

In my country, there is no requirement to be a medical professional to help people lose or gain weight.

The app is completely free, and there are no ads. I’m not even promoting myself or my coaching company. If you read privacy policy you can see we do not collect any sensitive info either like name, email, phone number of DOB etc... https://macrocodex.app/privacy-policy/

We do not make any money from this.

All the methods we use are documented here in detail, with links to relevant research; we even provide citations:

https://macrocodex.app/knowledge/rethink/adaptive-tdee/

https://macrocodex.app/knowledge/macrocodex/smart-calorie-bu...

https://macrocodex.app/guides/weight-loss/

And we are not doing anything beyond current medical research. The research already existed and had existed for at least a few decades!

So, what is my grift?

I believe you are not very educated and are more likely to fall for the “appeal to authority” fallacy on this forum?

I think, generally, that people view your work as BS. And you’re right! There is no rule against promoting your BS.

But it doesn’t follow that people have to like it. You seem to want to debate efficacy with people who are telling you to simply stop & go away. No one is hearing about efficacy, all they hear is “this dude won’t quit it & refuses to acknowledge the hint”.

If you don’t understand this, I hope it is eye-opening!

If not? Well I guess I can quote the following:

You’re not wrong! You’re just an asshole Walter! — The Dude
