I am working on something similar, so here is the shameless plug: tarvis.io

Users can install any number of apps (catalog has over 750 apps) into their workspace and it comes with daily backups, backups to your own store, ssl domains and secure by design.

We are in beta and launching soon.

For each user we create a new VPS that belongs to them.

i like this idea! though it feels very expensive... it says getting 3 apps going in LAX is over $90/mo. i have many personal apps running on a $50/YEAR VPS. i accept that this could be like the infamous dropbox comment [0] but it is so damn easy to give opus ssh to your VPS and have it deploy this stuff that there will at least be a race to the bottom if this model is successful.

I also agree. the "premium" for the zero-work, one click install and backup feels very expensive.

Currently I pay about $5/month for my VPS provider and $0 for some static sites CloudFlare's free deployment connected to my git repos is more than sufficient.

> opus ssh to your VPS You don't even need AI systems... openship does the same thing using SSH, it sets up your server and deploys whatever app you're interested in.

Others mentioned this already but the pricing is steep. And to add a Dropbox-style comment, I think a big part of this can be handled via Coolify?

Curious why to use this over something like Coolify’s cloud offering?

Interesting approach to self hosting.

I'm not a fan of the "one app per server" but having automatic SSL is nice.

Reminds me a lot of OpenShip.

Question: Where does the control plane live for deployments?
