videre treats the still (HEIC or JPEG) and its short video (MOV) as two unrelated files. Apple do not change original file. So it just writes metadata into it's iPhoto sections. Although it's possible to filter out Live Photos via certain characteristics of photo and video such as EXIF date/time, duration of video etc.
