Historically, fishing expeditions like this were not legal under the constitution. They searched her home on the basis of a conspiracy theory in the white nationalist social media ecosystem, and because the president doesn't like her.

That's an unprecedented abuse of power.

From the same loser turd that has zero compunction about Swiftboating (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/aug/31/trump-super-... https://www.npr.org/2024/08/09/nx-s1-5069480/swift-boat-john...), that single handedly jump started the Obama birther-ism nonsense (https://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2016-37391652).

There is a fundamental psychotic disrespect for reality at stake here, an absolute demented hellish warped perverted disdain for truth and justice.

Strangely the anime Frieren seems to have the bullseye on what we see here, speaking of demons: "words to them are means to decieve humans". Heartless forsaken monsters, of absolutely zero integrity, against the entire enterprise of society, the lot of this all.

Could Trump and the broader GOP be testing the waters for mainstreaming the idea of remigration? I haven't been able to better explain Trump's unusual focus on Congresswoman Omar.

"Remigration" is the idea that already-naturalised citizens should be stripped of their citizenship and deported back to their countries of origin[1]. The idea is gaining increased legitimacy and currency on the political right and is supported by high profile figures in the Trump administration[2]. Greg Bovino, former commander of CBP, even attended a "Remigration Summit" in Europe.

Remigration usually has a racial component to it, but the increasing use of the term "heritage American" on the right[3] isn't necessarily encouraging that the precedent set by remigration, if adopted as a mainstream policy by the GOP, would stay neatly confined to recently-arrived, former-refugee black and brown naturalised citizens.

I am no fan of Trump but in order to get the subpoena and warrants, their evidence had to go before a Federal Judge. The administrations track record there is not leaning positive.

Therefore, there is at least some question as to her residency/citizenship validity.

The president is a convicted criminal. He's slept with children. You think they couldn't make this happen? You think its a coincidence this is happening now?

No more then Musk and Melania. Both lied on their application to remain in the US.

If no action against those 2, then Omar's investigation should be dropped. This is nothing but a political which hunt.

According to Grok (so take it with the requisite mound of salt):

> Reporting from the Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, and others indicates the focus is on whether Omar or her late father, Nur Omar Mohamed, misstated her age/birth date so she could derive citizenship as a minor when he naturalized in 2000. If she was 18 or older at the time, that pathway would not have been available.

Perhaps Al Capone should have paid his taxes, and the Omars should have been accurate on kafkaesque forms?
