My friend tried to investigate the AI second opinion space, and was quickly shut down when putting in a proposal to the FDA. Apparently the net effect in patient outcomes because of a second opinion that isn’t verified/validated by a doctor was questionable enough for them to request clearer studies, proving the approach’s efficacy.

$50?!

Please ask Claude for a “No thanks, delete my data” button on the checkout page…so I can click it.

Worth noting that on the consent page the user acknowledges that “My photos are deleted right after analysis”, and then the results page says “analysis complete” right next to a thumbnail of the photo. So, which is it?

So, what regulatory bodies did this have to get approved by before you could offer it?

Do you feel confident enough in the analysis to make a diagnosis sight unseen?

People who are so self-conscious that they do elective procedures with risk of death or maiming certainly qualify as "vulnerable," yes.
