This is dangerous... I just lost a couple of hours having a quick look.
Well done!

This is one of the first actually enjoyable vibe-coded game I've seen so far, because it is not so buggy and for once performance is acceptable on Safari.

Thanks! Most of my time actually went into the small details: the last 20% where AI still needs a lot of human guidance and iteration.

Wow. It has build-in physics that checks your structure stability.
Exactly. I wanted to match the holding force of the studs, the way it would be if you actually built something with real bricks.

Love that they have Z-fighting in their main video

Mouse movement doesn't seem to work with Chrome on Mac.
Looks good though!

Really? Interesting, I developed the whole game on a Mac in Chrome. Does it work in any other browser for you?

Hey. When you accidentally double tap on the joystick it zooms in and you cannot zoom out. This is a known issue with threejs.

Interesting idea! Wasn't able to play it at high enough performance, but I'll keep an eye open for updates!

i was caught immediately in the brick store in the tut (after learning to view, wasd and jump)
whenever i try to exit the store the menu pops up, when i esc out, i am in again... leaving the store triggers it again...

Thank you for the feedback! Will move the return spot way more out of the entry spot.

Wow, awesome idea and game. Need to go and build a house!

Love the game and the UI is amazing..!!!
is it open sourced ?
I was thinking more of the learnings from building this multiplayer game: stud snapping, chunking, client-side prediction, baked geometry and a bunch of three.js lighting gotchas.

Nice, The UI is really great..!!

Is open source still a thing when everyone’s building everything from scratch with AI anyway? But yes, why not.
I would never underestimate the potential multiplying force of open source, unless you have some real secret sauce.
because open-source is mostly not a multiplicator anymore. The bottleneck in most cases is maintainer's review time, not contributions.

Can someone tell me what the appeal of games like this is? If I wanted to play with Legos I could already do that in the real world, with my real friends.
See:
Driving games
Soccer games
Tennis games
Golf games
etc
But you need legos to do that!
..and friends!
And even if you have both, you always run out of legos for that last wall.

THIS! And just to show what is possible nowadays with AI coding even if you are not owning a game studio.

BTW: Except in the city center and on the streets, you can build anywhere, and everyone can collaborate. If you’d like to build on your own, buy a lot with in-game coins. Then only you can place and remove bricks there.

I followed the tutorial, but keep getting "no building here" on land I purchased..? Thanks
3 days ago
I'm following the tutorial too. I bought a small piece of land in the tutorial area, but it won't let me build on it.
At first I wanted to skip the buying of land for the moment and continue the tutorial. But I see step 12 is building on the land I bought.
The only other option seems to be to skip the tutorial which I don't want to do. How is this supposed to work?

same, nicely executed, except for the building part :(

Will investigate and fix the issues!

Second Life with legos?
Hi HN! Eight days ago I set out to build a cozy little brick builder for the browser.
Then it escalated. A bit. Maybe a lot.
Now it’s a GTA-style open brick world: drive cars, ride buses, take off from the airfield and fly over the city, race on the track, claim your own lot and build together with everyone else, brick by brick.
Built with Claude Code (Opus 5.5), three.js, Node and SQLite. My 9-year-old was the main playtester.
Feedback welcome, especially what breaks!

It looks cool, but I gotta say if I were you I'd have just played Legos with my 9-year old. Kids have their whole lives ahead of them to waste time a computer.

Trust me! I did and still doing! A lot! And programming things like this will never replace time with both of my kids ;)
