Tesla's cars sells in Canada are made in China. Tesla has a direct vertical sales channel and moves the cash into American pockets while no other company including the Chinese ones has vertical direct sale to consumers in Canada. To top that off, Tesla's ecosystem, asks for monthly fees for updates; and the Chinese one won't; meaning that Canada need not pay rent to them like they do to Tesla/USA.
