This looks really useful! Self-hosting without the usual setup headache is a big plus. How much RAM does it need for a small meeting 4person?

typically 100-500MB. an instance with 1GB is more than enough.

A livekit wrapper?

LiveKit does a lot of work for the media. tide adds the meeting UI, auth, guest lobby, mod, and recording capabilities. no more no less

tldr; a single go binary deployable on any VPS that gives you meet(.)yourdomain(.)com style meeting links. OIDC login and server side meet recordings included.

We grew tired of "hosting" meetings on google / zoom. We wanted a private self hosted solution. We found Jitsi to be too bloated and clunky.

That is why we developed tide. We want to keep it focused on being super simple and easy to host.
