Hi HN, I'm Samuel, I built OSHotspot after NetworkManager's hotspot failed to share my existing WiFi connection on my Ubuntu laptop. Four months later, including two full-time months, it is a complete hotspot and network security manager for Linux.

It creates a hotspot in one command (hostapd, dnsmasq, iptables) and adds a real-time dashboard: traffic, clients, live DNS/DHCP events over SSE, captive portal with vouchers, domain policies, SPAN analysis, DoH bypass blocking, Tailscale VPN access, mail alerts and audit trail.

Limits: -Linux only -WiFi adapter with AP mode required
