“Inequality in 21st century United States raises a strange question; why is it that the western country with huge wealth inequality is doing remarkably well?!”

Why is it that authors with grandiose ideas have such glaring blind spots? Who in the US is doing “remarkably well”? The “country”? The 1%? It’s certainly not the bottom third of the population.

I find it very hard to listen to an argument when I smell bullshit in the first paragraph.
