My kids are 4 and 9. I wanted what the Kinect did, stand in front of the screen and play by moving, without the dead hardware. A laptop webcam plus MediaPipe pose running in the tab is enough. Nothing gets uploaded, no account, nothing to install. Free, seven languages.
It grew into a small world: 24 games on five islands, each island puts a different costume on the kid (drawn over the video), and rounds pay coins you spend on pets and furniture for your own room.
Two rules shaped it. No game ever takes points away, that's how you lose the four year old. And nothing nags, the pet is never hungry and the room never decays. Two players is co-op only, one shared score.
Plain scripts, no bundler, no npm, runs off file://. Two years in and nothing has rotted.
