The scientific journals of the American Astronomical Society (AAS), which include the Astrophysical Journal (ApJ) and the Astronomical Journal (AJ) among others, have published new guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including large language models, in preparing and reviewing manuscripts submitted to the AAS journals.
