Yahoo! Union-made video games would be a joy to play. More job stability means better trained, less stressed, more skilled workers.

Union shops are bad to invest in though. So you would expect to get fewer new game studios and fewer new games being produced, if other industries are anything to judge by.

This is a good 1997 study on manufacturing firms and unions in the 1970s and 80s. It shows that unionization cuts profits by 10 to 20 percent and then leads to less investment in capital expansion and slower job growth.
