Im amazed that nobody spots the simple answer and cause that gives water to sprout this and many other problems.

Ban third party advertising.

Wasn't the entire premise of the modern digital panopticon to stop exactly this kind of stuff?

Meta is not really a business. It's a tool used by agencies for surveillance. It's paid by tax payer at the end of the day. All this drama just to tax the people.

To be really, really fucking clear, it's not just "failed to catch" it's, "even when reported, failed to do anything about".

I got ads, reels that were not-at-all veiled hints at CSAM. "Report: CSAM" "We reviewed your report and determined that the content does not breach our policy."

Not to sound like I'm criticizing them too harshly. But I do wonder what the poor souls Facebook hires through a litany of contractor and sub contractors are actually told to remove

I've reported images of Swastikas, hate speech such as the N-word in comments and all other manner of vile interactions

I have yet to have seen them remove any of it in over a decade

But I've had my comments removed for "Get the fuck out of here, you're a moron and attitudes like yours are part of the problem".

So who the fuck knows.
