This is really a make or break moment for Tesla.

Regardless of any "investigation", the big change here is that Tesla is now solely responsible (and liable) for the safety of a "autonomous" driving system that still requires constant supervision.

Cybercab comes with Starlink fully integrated. Attempting to remotely supervise a level 2 vehicle using using a satellite data link is eye popping to say the least.

What could go wrong? Is Elon Musk really dumb (or maybe desperate) enough to attempt this?

They have been for the past year, they've had Model Ys running autonomously since June of last year (albeit with safety "passengers" at first).
