Lobster and fish overharvesting fraud is off the charts in parts of New England especially. It's about time.
So easy for fishers to sell prime catches to local markets and suppliers who will fill in quota species instead or skip paperwork altogether.
So easy for boats to unload their catches of protected species to markets on paper as different animals to local sellers. They save the honest paperwork to sell to national distributors.
(The only time I've seen wider public coverage about this is that TV show "hightown")
