the blast patern fits the type of mass casualty weapons that only the US posseses in this conflict. The US anounced the first time use of such a munition on the day of these strikes but didnt reveal a target, and later dissowned there own self reporting. The projectiles are tunsten, and the origin will be identifiable through metalurgical analysis. Given that this is just one incident in the unprovoked illegal American war of choice we can be sure that it will be decades before there is even token acountability. Though as it turns out the unequivical rejection of the US by the entire Irainian population due to relentless US attacks on Irainian civilians is a price that US did not expect.

I'll note that they got the figures of civilians from Iran itself, which was mentioned right after the line that you copy and pasted from but conveniently left out. It would be wise to be skeptical of the figures from Iran, just like it would be wise to be skeptical of the figures from Hamas. They have an incentive to lie.

Having said that, this doesn't seem like the right weapon for a civilian area at all. I don't know the target, maybe in the long run it was worth it. We may never know. But last I heard the figure of civilians killed by the IRGC in the past year was over 52,000. If we can get closer to the end of that regime and save lives, perhaps there will be some small semblance of understanding.

we caused the replacement of an 80 year old dictator with a 50 year old dictator who is even more hardline

the US is not saving a single life in Iran, it is literally accelerating the death of thousands as "collaborators" (which is of course ridiculous) as well as directly causing the death of innocent civilians via thousands of bombs and missiles costing billions every single day for 180+ days

the only right move was to go back to what was in place six months ago

and the only way that happens is the end of our own regime in 2029

NK has nukes, so they will not be attacked, and now everyone is building (more) nukes, some because they no longer have faith in the US nuclear umbrella

Interesting how you are so dubious about Iran and Hamas numbers but accept the 52,000 number without question. Trump originally said 32,000, then 42,000, then 60,000, then 52,000 and now today it is 100,000.

are we arguing over "oh it might have JUST been a DOZEN innocent civilians" vs 21?

US still hasn't admitted to dropping a tomahawk on an active elementary school killing hundreds using decade-old data after eliminating the part of the pentagon that reviews targets to make sure the are legit and up to date

I'm not taking Iran's side, I'm imagining sitting in my apartment or school while some other regime decides to drone or bomb innocent civilians here because they don't like who is running the country hundreds or thousands of miles away

we are still killing hundreds of fishermen off the coast of Venezuela without trial that are in outboard-motor boats incapable of making it to US

we need to stop killing people just because we can, why does it even need to said?

we decimated Iraq and Afghanistan killing thousands, why? What did we change? Girls can't even go to school past 6th grade there
