Startup Shouldn't Have Merch

Personally I don't wear any merch just because I don't like feeling like a walking advertisement lol. But I do feel like PostHog produces high-quality merch compared to what other startups have given me. Occasionally a company will give me a graphic t-shirt that's super thin and wrinkled with a graphic that's already cracking and I just immediately throw it out.

Unusually I really like swag and I often wear it as a fashion statement. I still wear my Pinecone shirt and I recently bought a lot of shirts from Fox Racing

because they go humorously with my personal brand and if I can get people to laugh with me they are under the spell of this Huli Jing.

The merch in that blog post though seems awful to me though. Like there is nothing special about those playing cards, the clothes don't look that good, etc.
