I feel like every Show HN these days goes like:
1. "Oh this sounds like a cool passion project!"
2. Open website, greeted with the classic AI generated UI
3. Immediately lose interest
I get that its "the future" and I don't disagree. However these have a lot less "ooh ahh" impact on me now that I realize I can just generate it myself. If the pixel art was human made (and maybe it is? but I doubt it) I'd be a little more interested.
I'm such a sucker for terminal games, especially the idea that you can exploit screen refreshes for rudimentary animation. There used to be a game called Paintball Net that was a top-down, real time paintball match simulator. It had a GUI client, but you could also just fire up telnet to connect and it would paint the state of the game one screen at a time as fast as your little 33kb dial up modem could handle.
This is yet another AI slop project. What is the point of this?
Not only it looks half baked, the animations are broken and disjoint in each character.
The entire page is just like all the rest of the rushed out AI projects out there with all the indications of each and every other AI slop website that this is.
> hand-drawn pixel sprites
Flagged for outright lies.
