Sharing this online children’s picture book I developed. During covid lockdowns I started writing it to introduce kids to different music genres, because I realised that what I like today is what I heard growing up.

Each genre has a kid-friendly music playlist embedded.

The digital edition of the book is very much a prototype (greyscale, proof of concept), using Blender to create an animated page flip 3d model and developing the app using Spline. Full 3d scenes/illustrations would be better, replacing what is currently a digital twin of a physical book.

Funny story: When I was writing the story itself, I used a remote usability testing service and paid for some people to test the book by reading it out aloud (to pick up where things didn’t flow in others' pronunciations). Probably was a welcome change from yet another ecommerce website.
