I'm unaware of any actual attempts at socialism ever achieving those things, so perhaps socialism is defined otherwise in reality?

In other words, now that the public funding dried up and everybody is asking for the results, let’s change goal post, so that we can claim victory.

An incredible amount of money has been granted and taken as profit for private companies with little to show and now the prices are unaffordable, but not because of the cost of infrastructure but because of the monopolistic market.

Capitalism for profits, socialism for costs.
