I'm building something equivalent but more towards specialization for manufacturing and DoD compliance. The latter means that every bit, every wire, needs to be on prem and auditable oink to tail.

Part numbers were a problem initially. Turns out they are not something that should be ingested by themselves. But the fix was relatively easy.

The biggest technical problem, ATM, is getting the thing to reason CAD-aware, or, barring CAD with its towering overheads, just reasoning via geometry relationships (via surface mesh + meta, way easier than trying to normalize frickin' STEP files). I've relegated that whole functionality to a separate chunk currently marked "TBD" - lots of work left on that.

I am also looking for open source maintainers for this
