When I was a teenager in boarding school I sent away for these books. I got this fully illustrated Star Wars encyclopedia amongst other books of sci-fi interest to me. Suddenly I realized I could not afford the actual monthly fees I had signed myself up for. So a teacher at the school advised me to send a letter saying I was the parent of a young child who had managed to mail off for these books without my permission and that this service must be canceled immediately because no child can make such a decision. That worked and I got to keep the books.

Saw this on the news yesterday. Crazy and comical. I used to see their ads in the magazines in the 80's. Had no idea they were still around.
