I can't imagine anything they'd be introducing is any worse than hydrofluoric acid, which is already in common use. If they're going solely off what the chemical is, and not what the safety and containment strategies are, then we're putting ourselves in a position to only get constantly further behind on semiconductor production.

It's not like semiconductor fabs are exposed to open air.
