I don't think there is 10x, but definitely 2 or 3x. I spent years in startup environments, and now that I work with larger corporations, I regularly get more work done faster and better than almost everyone I work with.

2 and 3x definitely exist, and it's a thrill to work with them. They are, however, somewhat rare and more people think they are in that group than actually are.
