Hm. No I mean more with the grassroots hacker nature that Hacker News has. A collection of links/news that are generally interesting, educating, newsworthy etc. Plus the discussion around it. Yes the subreddits maybe but they seem to be so spread out. So many different subreddits with partial overlap. It's a lot more fuzzy than HN which is a really well moderated go-to resource. (Maybe showing again how well dang does his job and how rare such good admins are)

Which ones do you recommend following? In my experience the quality of reddit is so much worse than HN.

And probably the quant stack exchange but I've never been on it
