Borders? Isn't this some evil far-right concept? I thought the goal for the EU was to absorb hundreds of millions of migrants from Africa and from the middle-east?
Are you suddenly telling me that there are numbers that are simply too big and that the difference between an evil far-right person and a nice leftist is just a matter of where you draw the line as to how many migrants you let in?
So somehow taking in tens of millions of migrants is OK, but taking in one billion migrants is not OK? And as a leftist you're allowed to say that without being called a far-right extremists?
But somehow someone saying: "Taking in hundreds of thousands of migrants is OK, but taking in tens of millions of migrants is too much" makes you an evil far-right person?
Can someone explain to me where the line has to be drawn?
For after having heard for years that we should take every single migrant in and that we should hand them citizenship as well, I have to admit I'm now a bit shocked at EU officials, including Vonderleyen, explaining that we need "stronger borders".
