The AI-generated thumbnail that is embedded is social media posts is in particular poor taste. It appears to show most of France in a blaze of death.

All the while showing Portugal as not having a single fire at all.

I understand you might be focused on Spain, and that’s fine. But please understand that people are dying or losing everything, and being a tad sensitive to that could go a long way.

Eu posso escrever tudo em Português, mas já que estamos num sítio internacional.

Really this is what one gets to be upset about in today's world?!? An application icon!

I on the contrary appreciate that the author even bothered to have Portugal as part of the application, after all they could also only have shown the Spanish territory.

Je peux aussi te répondre en Français, mais je ne vois pas du tout le rapport avec la discussion.

Have you actually seen the image I'm talking about? This is the one: https://firemapsspain.online/og-image-v3.jpg

It shows a straight line across all of France, which appears to be a 100km wide line of fire. Considering my family, in France, had to be evacuated, I have friends who lost absolutely everything, yes, I get annoyed when people use AI slop that doesn't care about accuracy.

Especially coming from a website that tries to improve information about wildfires! I never commented on the content of the app. I just said it's odd that the image in question shows France burning, but Portugal is shown empty of any wildfires.

Le connection was that for that kind of remark I assumed the typical Portuguese that gets outraged in social media about anything that happens with Spain, keeping our beloved relationship between both countries up to date.

I actually care about the application itself, instead of being outraged by an application screenshot, which most likely was created without the goal to outrage the Internet.

It appears people nowadays decide to be outraged by whatever they can use as excuse.

Yes, many of us have people in affected areas, or that are in the risk of being affected, I also don't know the extent of Spanish fires have affected friend of mine around Madrid.

great job, great effort!

for a second I imagined the firefighters being lost between flames and winds and not knowing or understanding directions well and then opening your app and figuring it out :)

Great job.

The dark background version is particularly illustrative. Winds are not easy to spot in the satellite map.
