Except it won't be the glorious--nor even the gloriously bad--merges of sci-fi.
Rather, it'll be like how your leisure time and work-hours have "merged" via smartphone messages from your boss, or how keeping tabs on friends has "merged" with a clickbait/outrage/attention feed, or how sports has "merged" with gambling...
