I also got an invite to Thundermail.

The terms that get me is that I agree to monetarily defend them in court if my name is somehow mentioned.

Like dude, this is a $72/year mail service. No fucking way I'm going to be your legal tampon. They could hire "lawyers" that charge $10k/hr and I'd be on the hook? Fuck that and fuck them.

And they will train and year on my live emails? And there's no time limit?! That's anti-user in the extreme.

Their tagline is "EMAIL THAT WORKS FOR YOU. Ad-free, privacy-first email from Thunderbird that puts you in control".

Yeahhhh no.
