and didn't secure the domain as linked... had a client for web design that did this once.
He printed all of his advert. hard copy, product labels, business cards, and the whole shebang without actually securing the domain.
Then came to me and wanted a site built at that URL.
The site was for sale... by someone in the printing pipeline, for 3.2k - which was just about 100 less than all the printing would cost to rerun. That's how we knew it was a print related opportunistic move.
Now he could either rererun the print (find another vendor supply chain), or buy the domain.
Either way he didn't have a plan for how to do one of those things and still pay for the fancy website he wanted... we ended up going with a basic Drupal at the printed domain.
Hope your shift from the world of make believe 1.0 to make shit up 2.0 goes better than it looks like it's starting out.
PS. internet lesson number A. don't use go-daddy if you want HN or anyone else to take you serious.
