This is exactly the kind of write-up - with honest assessments, like questioning the non-existent methodologies of other products - that make me look further into a product.
The downside is that I am careful on installing apps, to the point where I uninstall very few apps for every generation of Mac I invest in. Which typically only gets EoL’d when MacOS is no longer being released for it. This usually provides me a 5-8 year timeline between major changes.
With that said, two things: thanks for not making this a subscription, and I will definitely be buying it the next time I uninstall a program that I have used in any significant manner. Like Office 2024, if it ever ends up following the same path as Office 2019. Or whenever Outlook Classic gets thoroughly deprecated and is no longer available.
