A 2024 Oxford Internet Institute study found 87% of apps share data with third parties. Photo apps are some of the worst, which is uncomfortable given what's in most people's camera rolls.

So I built the one I wanted. Pressbook turns your camera roll into a magazine-style album, and the curation runs entirely on the phone, there's no server in the path of your photos, so they never leave it.

Apple's Vision framework does the work on-device (aesthetics, scene, faces + capture quality, and saliency for cropping). It lays the keepers into one of 200+ templates and exports a print-ready PDF at up to 600 DPI. No accounts, no ad networks, no tracking; analytics is opt-in and off by default and never includes your photos. Files sit under iOS Data Protection (FileProtectionType.complete).

First app from a small studio, SideSwipe Labs. I'd genuinely like to hear your feedback.
