People will talk down on this because it's Microsoft, but I use Terminal + WSL2 and have been waiting for Cursor-like functionality to be integrated.

I don't want to download more programs and pay more subscriptions, so I'm quite happy to replace Terminal with this.

This is basically Warp right? At least Warp open sourced theirs recently as if not this looks to be a nice alternative.

This looks like the opposite of what I want. But thankfully I’m not on Windows!

This is an application that needs to be installed separately. What are you even talking about?

Trying to see the benefit of this since you can't use any of the standard agent / commands (for example /status does not work)

I can see potential, but the current offering is not enough to make this usable.

There really is AI in everything isn't it? I dont know if its the right way for a platform owner to add more AI to anything. Shouldnt the User decide ?

To be pedantic, a platform owner can do whatever they want with their platform. That's why its important to run platforms that you own yourself and not those that are owned by others.

Windows is not yours, macOS is not yours, etc. There's only one solution...

Writing your own operating system, applications and hardware :)

Or i guess running netbsd, freebsd reactos, redox, sculpt, gnu hurd, linux as alternatives.
