Joint venture where TCL controls the majority with 51%. So what's one of those Bravia TVs then? The one I have in my living room has Google TV running, and pretty stock from what I can gather. So if the inside will be all TCL, then what's left?

One of the reasons I avoided TCL entirely was due to the reported backdoors[1]. Hopefully Sony has control over the software, but with TCL making the hardware who's to say they don't add some backdoor or ad-spying tech?
