It’s refreshing to see a "retro" project that isn't just about aesthetic skins or scanlines, but about actual functional behavior. We’ve gained a lot with modern window snapping and search-first workflows, but we’ve lost the sense of "place."

I’m particularly interested in the choice to use WindowShades (roll-up) over minimization. Minimizing a window to a dock or taskbar always felt like "out of sight, out of mind," whereas a rolled-up title bar keeps the context present without the clutter. This feels like a great setup for someone who wants Debian’s stability without the "helpful" UI noise of 2026.
