Steam prints money and the Steam Deck was already priced like a loss leader for Steam sales. Makes me wonder if valve will just eat the cost to get the install base.

I believe that they said explicitly that they won't be eating cost on the Steam Machine, due to it's conveniental fo factor meaning it may end up a good buy for non gamers as well.
