I don’t know if you’ll see this but I followed your lead, bought an ipad+pencil, subscribed to math academy, and have been using the “math notes” feature on the iOS calculator. This is the self-study workflow I’ve been dreaming of. Thank you!!!
Reading works for me, usually literature. But "learning" sounds like a good idea, though I'd need a tablet for that.
though I'm conflicted about the whole "use bed only for sleeping" bit, I find I can't really sit down or be too far from my bed or else I lose the tiredness by the time I jump in bed. Being AT bed works well, I just turn to the side and close my eyes when I feel tired.
How long have you been doing this? I've had a hard time falling asleep my entire life (no issues once I am asleep). I'm resistant to chemical solutions, and I think my sleep issues are more emotional, given that I can fall asleep early if I really have to, but I can only maintain it for a week or so. But after a life time of laying awake, I am curious.
For sleeping? 2 months
If it’s emotional, I recommend doing a meditation retreat at dhamma.org on the off chance it helps. It helps for me, somewhat. It’s a donation-based retreat and quite serious too (10 days).
Math before bedtime used to cause me sleep issues. Not sure if you tried doing it early in the morning or not, but also your bed should only be used for sleeping (sleep hygiene) and nothing else (no math)
Yea, preferably I do it on the couch. Staying over at the in-laws with a 75% finished house for Christmas. So it is what it is
