Nice to see another static site generator that uses commonmark. I use it as well in `tumblelog` which is available on [GitHub](https://github.com/john-bokma/tumblelog/). It's less lightweight as it supports tags, an RSS feed, and a JSON feed. Example site: [Plurrrr](https://plurrrr.com/).

Thanks for sharing this, I've never heard of it! It's actually a pretty similar approach to what I'm doing, without having dug into the code. Making an ssg does feel like you're reinventing the wheel, but I rather enjoy having creative control over things even if it's not much different from what's out there.
