Found CopperSpice it looks to be a very currently maintained hard fork of Qt with a strong focus on modernizing it to use C++ 20 features including safe pointers, they got rid of the meta-object compiler in favor of C++ templates and loads of other features.

Still looking into it, but figured it would be something HN might be interested in.

I wish QML was part of CopperSpice.
