... using Excel. Oh nice, some of the most complex stuff I've seen has been in Excel and lots of magic VBA.

I have a friend in aeronautical engineering and he told me a story of some other older engineer who had this elaborate simulation entirely coded in Excel. He had to leave it run over the weekend in order to produce output!
