Is there an argument as to why the current situation is bad and maybe is impacting anyone or might?
I don't know anyone who thinks of Oracle owns or is JavaScript, even the non technical folks I work with.
It's about the trademark, and oracle who sues people as part of their core business operations
The old joke -- that seems to be less of a joke than reality -- is that Oracle is a litigation firm suing over trademarks who happens to also sell a little software on the side.

Is this really how Deno wants to make me advocate for Deno instead of Node.js, a legal fight about JavaScript copyright?
