Tampa fell 6% YoY - but that's in the shadow of housing costs that doubled in under a decade. And over the last 30 years, prices/rents have increased 5-fold.
Affordable housing was (once) why we endured 13-month summers. Now we're just too poor to move.

If insurance and other carrying costs keep going up as in FL, for the real monthly cost of housing to stay the same, prices must fall

For the record: Rents are housing costs and they rise with insurance increases.
