They probably looked at your financial information and did not see a relation / employement with Nvidia. In my experience it's best to keep a companies name out of the APEX of the domain and instead use a sub-domain. Even that can draw ire from legal teams but the registrar would not see it. Having a domain like nvidia-bug-report does suggest to me that you are representing Nvidia. Most corporate domains are registered from a corporate registrar account that is linked to the corporations payment department and linked to their D-U-N-S Dun and Bradstreet number. Even if the registrar you were using did not kill the domain they would have received take-down notices from SafeNames, Nvidia's registrar.

Perhaps a name like "crowdsourced-nvidia-bugs.tryauuum.sh" with a header that says "Not directly affiliated with Nvidia" and links to a FAQ would be less likely to get the attention of the registrar.

As tightly as these companies watch for anything that could be a violation of their trademark, I highly doubt you’ll find a single tld where you manage to register something with nvidia in the name and not lose it.

It’s not based just on the content of your site. If you wanted to phish someone, this domain would be a great one to use, so I can see why they were concerned…
