It's fine to criticize major tech companies and their leaders and investors, people do that every day on HN. But vile comments like this about anybody obviously cannot be tolerated here if we are to have any standards at all. Please stop registering accounts to post this kind of dreck.

The phone spyware apparatus requires long-term silent cooperation from Google and Meta to allow and encourage the malware to run, to intentionally not safeguard the phones against them despite years having gone by. Apple is at least trying to combat it, whereas Google has been going in the opposite direction.

Also, for the record, there are innumerable Google-approved scam apps on its Play Store. They take the user's money, fail to deliver the promised service, and there is no recourse for a refund. Google gets a cut of the scam loot, and so it has no interest in cleaning things up.

There have been too many reported instances of ICE going after those with a valid visa, also of them having extremely inhumane detention facilities. Both of these squarely put ICE in the evil category.
