Right now, we sift through mostly dirt to find gold, literal and figurative.
In the future, they will sift through infinite amounts of worthless trash before finding something interesting.
That worthless trash, of course, will define us the most.
Future generations shall look back upon these with embarrassment and shame. They will know yours as a time of waste and corruptibility, treachery even. Where the abundance of the natural world left for all time so exploited; impious hands who have rifled the bowls of Mother Earth.
And then there are the other things. You may not be forgiven as easily as you forgive (and congratulate) yourselves.
Your future generations shall not be your redeemers, you are their betrayers.
