I obviously thought this would be about back-up power for buildings. The author is using batteries as an metaphor for software deployment readiness I think.

Same, especially after Tesla started to talk about batteries being part of structural element. I often wonder if we could use "walls" for more than just support + surface.

I use my walls as thermal mass by insulating from the outside. This acts like a thermal sink keeps the interior temperature from fluctuating on hot or cold days. I need 3 days of extreme temperature to move the interior temperature.

About the topic, some say Django is kinda rechargeable. Lots of pieces can be toggled / swapped and the whole keeps coherency somehow.
