wanted to write this thought down somewhere

was thinking about brain probes that could be extended if you can lock into the tips like drills for an oil well, then they can go deeper down, make each segment addressable somehow

use same port with fixed holes on the skull but can extended/grow over time as needed

I suppose you could also just pull the existing ones out and put new ones in through same holes
