Because it’s important to deny any chance for it to pass to the hands of the Wrong People(tm)

Ah, imagine that candy bar of omnivitamins! The rush of invigoration you'd get from a single morsel. Wow!

Was anyone bidding against the Onion?

Alex Jones was apparently involved somehow in a competing bid. There may have been others.

i've heard of her, she's been on mainstream tv for a long time doing a sort of morning tv job on one of the top few channels.

edit: i looked her up, its "The One Show" a sort of after-work magazine style show on BBC1. i've not had a TV license for 4-5 years so i can only remember the programme format (and her strong welsh accent).

But credit is where credit's due -- not a bad Danzig impersonator

I remember when Infowars started. I was using rense.com for my daily news fix and was thoroughly caught up in conspiracy theories and all number of speculation around aliens interbreeding with humans...way before it was cool.

I became an anti-semetic, pizza-gate nut job and recovered long before the droves of internet noobs even caught on or showed up.

When you hear it all for the first time in isolation as a young person it is VERY compelling. When your life is devoid of wealth it is even easier to go down the rabbit hole.

I used to read Alex Jones every day and was surprised to see it was still a thing in recent times and I was even more taken back at how looney it had become. Back in my day it was far more palpable. Alex Jones, Elon Musk are a few examples of what wealth, power and drugs can do to a human being. Power is the worst of all and I would never wish it on anyone.

I'd love to hear about your recovery journey.. it seems like quite the gravity-well to have escaped from. Would you consider writing a blog post or sharing here?

And there was Rush Limbaugh

Rush brainwashed a whole generation of boomers and their parents. Alex Jones barely registers compared to the damage Rush caused.
